Founder / CEO

My intention day in & day out is to lead with love & the unshakable belief that every person holds untapped potential—& the ability to contribute something powerful to the world.

My name is Chase Pettey, the Founder & CEO of Adventure For All. Every year I am fueled by the countless moments I have the honor of witnessing: An exceptional child, who once believed they couldn’t ride a bike, bikes for 30+ miles across a finish line with tears of pride in their eyes. When a parent & their child, who’ve spent their life battling the perception that “they can’t”; stand on top of a mountain, realizing that they belong here, too. These are not just victories, they are miracle moments that shift the trajectory of every family's life.

When conceptualizing AFA it was never just about programs—it was about starting a movement. One that redefines what’s possible & reminds us all that every human has immense value. I believe the greatest gifts we can offer ourselves & the world is love & belief. That’s why, if I could choose any adventure, I’d choose this one, everytime. Because helping others let go of fear & lean into self belief is the most meaningful journey of all.

CFO

I’m Sean Pfalzgraf—CFO & board member at Adventure For All. I first connected with AFA through an adventure program that forever changed how I saw challenge, growth, & possibility. Watching individuals with exceptionalities push past fear & rise into their potential transformed my life. That experience led me to walk away from my corporate career & step fully into a purpose-driven life.

As a CPA with over 15 years of experience in public financial audits, corporate finance, & digital transformations, I have the honor to use my skills to support the mission of AFA from the inside out while also diving into programs to experience our impact firsthand. Our whole team has incredible strengths that balance one another, but at the end of the day it’s about being a part of the community we are working so diligently to connect & grow.

To me, the mission of AFA isn’t just a cause—it’s a belief that every human, given the right support & opportunity, can achieve what once felt out of reach.

Community impact lead

As the Community Impact Coordinator for Adventure For All in Sarasota, FL, I have the privilege of building meaningful relationships, organizing inclusive events, & leading the implementation of our Outdoors For All programs. With over five years of experience working with individuals with exceptionalities & nearly a decade as a Special Olympics coach, I bring a deep passion & commitment to everything we do at AFA.

My connection to this work is personal. Growing up with a brother who has Down syndrome gave me a perspective that shaped who I am & taught me life lessons I carry with me everyday. At the same time, my love for the outdoors has always been a big part of my life—I grew up hiking, camping, & adventuring across 43 states & 20 national parks.

One of my favorite memories with AFA was riding 31 miles alongside my brother Joey at Gravel Worlds—crossing that finish line together is a moment I’ll never forget & gave me so much perspective on how we impact our families deeply.

Art has always been my way of communicating—whether through music, film, or photography.

I’m Morgan Alley, a musician, filmmaker, & Creative Director for Adventure For All (AFA), where I get to share the mission through brand, documentary films, & photography.

Since day one, I’ve had the privilege of capturing the inspiring stories of AFA’s athletes. The impact our organization has had on the athletes, their families, & everyone they touch is profound & I am grateful to be a part of this journey with them.

Through my work, the aim is to make people feel something, just as art has done for me. When I started with AFA, their vision & my creative disposition aligned perfectly. Over the past three years, I’ve seen the powerful role our films play in spreading our mission. It's an honor to play a role in sharing the powerful stories of these individuals.

I’m Peter Simone, an AFA board member & advisor for their education & community platform, AURORA. With two decades of experience building products & companies—from startups I founded to global platforms like Meta & Microsoft—I support the AFA team by helping them use technology to scale their impact & reach more families across the world.

My connection to this mission is deeply personal. I’m the older cousin of an incredible individual with exceptionalities who’s brought endless joy & perspective to my life. From mentoring as a teen to serving on the AFA board today, I’ve long believed that redefining potential for individuals with exceptionalities isn’t just meaningful—it’s transformative for humanity as a whole.

When I’m not diving into tech strategy or dreaming up new ways to amplify Adventure For All’s mission, you can usually find me outdoors chasing down all 63 National Parks—or working on a dream of being a concert pianist.

As a father of a young boy with Down syndrome & Autism, I’ve experienced firsthand both the beauty & the barriers that come with raising a child with exceptionalities. Adventure For All has sparked something powerful in me—& now, I’m honored to be a guide in helping parents & their exceptional children to a life of purpose & opportunities.

My name is Jason Minton, & I’ve spent years serving in leadership & board roles for local nonprofits, but this work with AFA felt like home the moment I encountered it. As the Community Impact Lead for AFA in Bentonville, AR I’m dedicated to bringing the heart of AFA’s mission to life in one of the fastest-growing outdoor communities in the country.

Before AFA, I simply hoped my son—& others like him—would be accepted. Now, I want to help redefine what it means to belong, & raise the bar from “acceptance” to full participation throughout the world. The story of The Tortoise & The Hare has always had a special place in my heart—& even more so now, with my son Jude as my adventure guide. We live by two mantras: “Slow & steady wins the race,” & “My race, my pace.” It reminds me that progress isn’t about speed—it’s about heart.

Treasurer

I’m a CPA, CFO, & lifelong adventurer—but my most important title is “Dad.” My son Joey, who has Down syndrome, has taught me more about strength & joy than any job ever could.

My name is Jim Baar & as the Treasurer of Adventure For All, I bring over three decades of financial leadership to a mission I believe in deeply. I joined the board because I’ve seen what this movement can do—for athletes, families, & entire communities. My youngest son, Joey, who has Down syndrome, has been an AFA athlete for four years, & watching him grow through biking, hiking, kayaking, & more has been one of the great joys. What AFA has given to Joey isn’t just adventure—it’s self-belief. To me, that is the most valuable gift parents could ask for.

Some fun facts; I’m an Eagle Scout & have explored all 50 states. My personal mantra is “Every day is a great day”. This life mantra is easy to understand when you have experienced all three children fighting their way through cancer. We don’t sweat the little things.

Adventure For All has given me something I didn’t know I was missing: a way to turn purpose into action, & dreams into real, life-changing moments.

My name is Fred Durant, a Strategic Advisor at Adventure For All, & with over 24 years building digital products & analytics teams, my role is to help transform AFA’s powerful, in-person programs into digital experiences that will reach families around the world. AFA came into my life like most adventures do—by chance. I met Chase on a ski lift, & by the time we reached the top, I was all in. His passion, the mission, & the outcomes? Unforgettable. That moment sparked something in me—because AFA brings together everything I care about: family, adventure, & the outdoors. These three things define the best memories of my life, & now I get to help others create those same moments for themselves.

Being a part of AFA has filled my life with the gift of purpose & meaning. This opportunity gives my intentions & contributions profound & meaningful impact; Action matters. Try hard, be safe, have fun—& help others do the same.

Board scribe

I’m Dr. Patrick Newman, & I proudly serve as Board Scribe for Adventure For All. As a physician, I’ve always been passionate about advocating for the health & wholeness of others. Through my educational path into medicine, I’ve learned a lot, but my personal experiences led me to the understanding that true well-being isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, mental, & deeply spiritual. That’s why I’m honored to support an organization like AFA that believes in investing in the whole person through purpose-driven challenges & community.

In my training, I’ve seen firsthand how a sense of purpose can positively influence someone’s entire health journey. When we create opportunities for individuals to grow, achieve, & be seen, we unlock more than potential in that individual—we impact the entire family. Being part of a movement that is boldly innovating ways to create accessibility to educational tools & community on a global scale is both inspiring & deeply aligned with my own values.

Together let’s show the world how impactful this movement can be for all!

Adventure For All’s mission is deeply personal for me. My journey started with one simple hope: to help my son Joshie who has Down syndrome learn to ride a bike. After years of trying, I found AFA—& their belief in him changed everything. In just a few months, Joshie was not only riding independently, but exploring trails with me, his mum, & brothers with joy & confidence.

I’m Kelvin Jones, & I serve as the UK Community Impact Lead for AFA. I train athletes here in the UK & help grow a network of parents & supporters who are ready to lean into a life of adventure for their children—& for themselves.

AFA gave me more than a process. They gave me belief, community, & the tools to keep moving forward. So, if you are a parent feeling stuck or unsure, it’s ok, we all carry doubt—but trust the process, & you’ll be amazed at what’s possible.

From Hats to a Movement

The more hats we sold, the more families we met—& I couldn’t stop thinking: Why aren't these kids seen? Why aren't they included? That question became my mission.

In 2023, we shifted from running regional programs to launching a full-scale national tour—bringing our Adventure Biking camps to cities across the country and guiding dozens of athletes through life-changing experiences. What we didn’t expect was how that tour would ignite something far beyond our own reach.
